My Story

Growing up with two parents who were both teachers, I saw firsthand the incredible impact that caring, passionate educators can have on children and families. Watching how fulfilled they were in their work inspired me from an early age, and I’ve always hoped to follow in their footsteps in my own way.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children in many different settings, and each experience has strengthened my belief that children learn best through play, curiosity, and hands-on experiences.

After earning my Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, I moved to San Francisco and pursued my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at San Francisco State with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher.

While completing my credential program, I worked as a program leader for an after-school program, serving as the lead teacher for a kindergarten classroom. Through that role, I built meaningful relationships with students and families, which eventually led me to begin nannying and providing individualized support for children outside of the classroom.

I later worked as an aide for a student with autism and other support needs. This experience allowed me to work closely with one child and their family, creating personalized learning experiences and supporting growth in a way that felt especially meaningful.

Why Little Larks?

Little Larks was created from a desire to bring together my love of education, creativity, nature, and community. My goal is to provide thoughtfully facilitated experiences that nurture creativity, confidence, problem-solving, and a lifelong love of learning, in a sensory-friendly space where children feel safe to explore, create, build friendships, and simply be themselves.

When I’m not planning activities, you’ll usually find me exploring antique shops, working on creative projects, or scouting out new enriching environments for our playgroup to gather.
