Little Larks is a traveling art club bringing hands-on creativity to families across San Francisco. We host process art playgroups, pop-up arts & crafts booths, and private events for kids from preschool through 5th grade, including children with mild to moderate support needs.
Little Larks was founded by Ms. Griffin, an educator who has worked as a classroom lead teacher, an after-school program leader, and an individualized aide for a child with autism and other support needs. Griffin personally leads every session, and any additional staff for a specific program are introduced to families in advance.
We welcome children from preschool age through 5th grade, and we’re experienced in supporting kids with mild to moderate support needs.

We offer several different structures so we can support every type of artist: consistent process art playgroups, arts & crafts workshops, seasonal events, community pop-ups, and custom private events. Visit our What We Offer page for a full breakdown of each.
Process art is open-ended, exploratory art-making that focuses on the experience of creating, like paint, texture, and materials, rather than a finished product. It’s a relaxed, sensory-friendly way for kids to explore at their own pace, and it’s the format behind our ongoing playgroups.
It depends on the offering. Some of our sessions are ongoing and consistent, while pop-up booths and community events are one-time drop-ins. We’re finalizing our full calendar now and will share the specific format for each offering once it’s posted.
Yes! We host custom, art-based private events for birthdays, celebrations, and friend group gatherings, like charm bracelet-making parties. Reach out to us to start planning your child’s celebration.
We’re a traveling art club based in San Francisco, so our sessions pop up in different spots around the city, including parks, libraries, and community spaces, plus wherever your private event is booked.

Registration is completed online. Once you begin enrolling, we’ll send you the required forms for that specific program through our secure online registration system, and you’ll complete them before your child’s first session.
Depending on the program, required forms may include a registration and emergency contact form, a health and medication information form, a photo and media consent form, and our enrollment agreement and liability waiver. The exact forms depend on the program’s structure, ages served, and licensing status.
Yes. We request separate written permission before using any identifiable photo or video of a child on our website, social media, or promotional materials. Declining photo permission never affects your child’s ability to participate.
Yes. We only collect what we need to run our programs safely, and required forms are never posted publicly, they’re provided securely as part of registration. See our Privacy Notice for more detail on how we collect, use, and protect family and child information.

Sessions are led and directly supervised by Griffin, Little Larks’ founder, with attentive, hands-on supervision maintained throughout. Group sizes are kept small so every child gets personal attention and stays safe.
For your child’s safety, we release children only to a parent/guardian or another adult you’ve authorized in advance. If someone else will be picking up your child, just let us know ahead of time.
We ask that children who aren’t feeling well stay home to keep our group healthy. If a child becomes sick or is injured during a session, we’ll contact you (or your emergency contact) right away and follow standard first-aid and incident procedures.
Many of our sessions take place outdoors, like at Alamo Square Park. If weather conditions aren’t safe, we’ll reach out with any changes, rescheduling, or cancellation as early as possible.
